As someone who was just laid off, please don't feel sorry for me. I received 18 weeks of severance and already had a second job in content creation for a smaller competitor. All I ever really did for f5 was post on insta and join useless marketing strategy meetings shrug
Is everything going to be outsourced to AI and India? Is it time to jump ship?
OK 20 weeks severance is wild. The standard is 8 weeks + xtra week for year worked. V generous package
Well that didn't take long (sales cutting marketing.)
20 weeks severance. Health care through October. No vesting on November 1st for RSUs. All of creative and brand is now outsourced to expensive agencies, which I get, they can turn things around faster with bigger teams to scale, but for more $$$. A few people in integrated marketing. Unknown internationally. Su-ks. I poured my soul into F5 and how we showed up. UGH.
At this rate HQs will be in India by 2026
How was it done this time?
Email again?
me too, but in support
I guess Prophet FLD with a compensation of $13 mil a year can do anything he wants. That's the same as 41 cents/second for each and every second in a year. Must be nice.....
A true Shame to see , particularly as job market looking very glum and we begin to approach Holiday season. Best Wishes to those impacted today and remember that even in the gloomiest of times there can be a silver linings
Things really went to sh-t in Marketing when Mika left LOL
Now we all know what FLD means when he says a 'Human First Company'. When F5 needs to improve profitability it's the Humans that are the First to go. :-)
Same
It's taken me almost 2 years to acknowledge/accept the truth that F5 has become a cult lead by Prophet FLD. There is absolutely no room/tolerance for individualism. Independent thought is surpressed. I grieve for those most recently targeted with employment termination along with the nearly 1600 forced terminations during the last 7 years under his reigh.
Is the layoff large enough to make the news?
Or are they being sneaky about it again,?
They cut costs everywhere. They think that "AI" will replace every one. Ridiculously easy.
Yep. Me too.
