There was a manager in the Alaska BU who often bragged that she sat on RL's lap.
Really, how stupid is that and what an id--t. First, to brag about it. Second, what a disgrace to women in the workplace succeeding on their own techincal work and merits, Third, really shows how she got ahead (later to be let go). As was said, SPIRIT values y'all.

I’ve seen some of the best managers shown the door. Usually when they pose a threat and do not tow the line. Do not underestimate the severity and frequency of corruption within our company. Occasionally, someone outside established lines of ascendancy makes it into the ranks of management. They have several choices. They can get in line; they can be oblivious; they can look behind the curtains. Those that look behind the curtains often get pushed out the window. Ranks then close and a narrative is constructed to support the action. The Truth can be a dangerous career path.

Managers never get let go.
Only grunts.
Managers get shuffled around and promoted.
Grunts get axed.
SPIRIT values, y’all!
