Per my experience you will know by 2nd week of Oct.
When customers call to file a claim, they are redirected to the app. If they only have a desktop then so be it. File online and wait for instructions, take your photos and upload them. If your car is already at copart, wait for the adjuster to follow up. If it’s a total loss the conversation will be short. … a total loss adjuster will contact you. If it’s not totaled send the car to an approved repair facility. From there the body shop will communicate through the app with the adjuster and not speak with them. If u need a supplement upload the evidence to the app. If approved the work will be done. This equated to five minutes of human contact. Isn’t that what everyone wants?? Think of all the savings that will be passed on to the customers. Amazing!
The stores will be full of Christmas stuff 2 weeks before Haloween!
The same fear, loathing, inaction and woe is me that has been on this message board for over 4 years.
Guaranteed.
Actually begins on the 10-1 when immediately affected and to be terminated employees will receive an invite to a virtual meeting with your leader and an HR person informing you your job has been eliminated. You’ll stay employed for 30 days then that’s it. Look for emails to come right around the 1st.
Hope my number is called this time. Getting out of this dumpster fire and getting 10 months severance and unemployment. This company is going to show me the money and pay to get rid of me. Win/win.
If it’s the 2nd or 3rd week of Oct, will it be immediate or 90 days notice?
End of the 2nd - 3rd week of October
Similar number of RIFS in Northern Ireland to last year (100-150). Another bloodbath. But hey, at least they're having a Christmas party 🤦♂️
They’ll automate the claims processors. Get some perspective.
Do you think claim processors will be affected???
I expect it by mid October. My area has come to a grinding halt. The only work stream that’s important to leaders is our pending service review but I doubt that makes a difference in saving our jobs.
I’m basically on an island when it comes to my job. Nobody’s asks, I get no direction, nobody tells me anything. Just biding my time. Workflow tool will determine my fate.
Mid-End of October will be the next bloodbath of history has taught us anything. My manager is basically AWOL now and my fellow colleages and I have been networking in hope we are next.
I do think the layoff will be bigger this year in October than it was last year. The new business model does not require as much staff, as they are looking to streamline several processes . I work in the IT security area of the company and Ironically my manager pulled us into a call telling us not to worry about layoffs. I guess she got word of some speculation. Also, a big project I was working on seems to be no longer cared about, but was the main stress point for many months. Fortunately, Ive only been here 3 years so I can just hop to the next company like I did the last layoff I experienced
If the groundhog sees his shadow there will be 6 more weeks of drivel and meaningless whining
Look for odd behavior on your manager's part. Radio silence. Being moved off projects.
Mid-October is when it goes down. Understand how much money you potentially have coming to you. (PTO, Severance based on years of service) and contact your financial advisor of what might be coming so he/she can devise a plan. If you are eligible for retirement healthcare when the time comes, take the COBRA and suspend retirement healthcare until you need it. Start looking NOW. Save your money as best you can and prepare for the worst.
Probably hearing about layoffs from local news stations papers/ their websites before any acknowledgement from the company again
*you’re
You’re probably first on the chopping block.
Your In Bad Hands with Allstate.
The unstated purpose of the Workday implementation was to eliminate many many American-based jobs. Sadly the brain trust did a really cr-ppy job implementing WD (shocker), and the CHRO is gone (coincidence?). So while they’d love to fire a bunch of people, they really cannot. Yet
