Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Beware remaining Ops techs!!!

They have posted new positions to replace you. “ operations deployment technician” up on the site as we speak.. they are attempting to De skill break fix operations. Don’t teach anyone anything!! Especially the “ops supervisor’s or managers” they believe that have the knowledge to log in and work on equipment, when in reality all they do is silence alarms in Portal and close tickets.. meanwhile the customers are still paying crown for 99% uptime…

LOL . There were FOT let go in many areas across the nation. It is just business as much as it su-ks. Sounds like a bunch of conspiracy theories because you did not do your job.

Crown has sold the fiber and is preparing to let go of all techs to VWA positions. A large company reached out to discuss taking over per EMT. Get ready y’all

Crown hires and maintenance company gives them the guidelines they don't give a s* . Year after year they pay less they hire cr-ppy maintenance companies they do a s* job. Crown is perfectly fine with that. as long as they pay less, That's not the field techs problem even though they do the best they can. I don't know who you are and why you commented on this but you're if you're a field tech then you don't know too much. And also if you didn't know it they're trying to get rid of you.

Team, what are we doing? Our sites are turning into Jurassic Park our customers are bi--hing about our lack of maintenance and no one gives a sh-t anymore!
We need to turn this company around or bring in someone who actually cares about our business.
Stop complaining about bad management and lack of leadership, they all su-k and don’t give two sh--s about us.
Have a Happy Purple Friday!

It's great to hear from the fans of the ops mangers in Houston and Louisiana. You're all part of their circlej--kand just as useless as they are. Probably stealing everything that's not tied down while you're doing it. That's why you got to stay because you can keep your mouths shut.

Maybe it’s time to take a look at yourselves, reevaluate where you are lacking and stop blaming others for your poor performance. I understand that is hard to be let go…but being part of a winning team as a below average team member is not tolerated in the real world. Not everyone gets a trophy. Move on, get better at what you do and come back better. The choice is yours.

Unfortunately the best talent has left the company and the managers that remained are circling the drain and throwing their own employees under the bus.

A lot of corruption in Houston and Louisiana, my Tower Ops Team was questioned by Internal Auditors and our PC due to Vic P owning his own tower company Southern Tower Solutions that he was using for all his work, paying inflated invoices. His Director JE did not take any steps to stop it, they both are still employed Vic continues to steal, nothing will change.

SCN and Fiber leadership in NC is horrible! Unqualified managers and directors. Good ole boy network. So sad. I hope EMT looks into this.

A year ago they let most but not all of the best tenured techs go. And kept the most corrupt toms or ops managers whatever they calling them these days, especially that guy in Louisiana that guy's been stealing money for over 20 years. And yes for that comment below that Guy in Houston ain't much better.

OP, you must be on the SCN side since you're talking about silencing alarms on the Portal. It's easier to put tickets on hold and silence alarms on the SCN/DAS side. On the Enterprise / Fiber side, there are no on hold reasons like in Service Now, especially on hold reasons that are constantly misused to manipulate the MTTR. That clown tu-d show doesn't happen on the Enterprise / Fiber side. So yea, it's easier to replace the "Field Operations Techs " on SCN. As they have already shown in the West.

My fellow comrades stay strong, Ops Managers are a disaster and desperate to keep their jobs. Crown kept the weakest ones on board with very little leadership or skills. My manager in Houston constantly talks cr-p about other managers and his director. He is a Very poor excuse for a so called manager.
