Strong strong messaging from BS and AM to get into the office (because that's where are our customers are??!) because we sell more. Think this is a precursor to 5 days a week methinks.
Very weak and uninspiring

AM is clearly struggling, he’s a spoofer who has always relied on shallow industry tech jargon and cliche laced surface-level presentations, and “candidly”, his role is far too large and complex for him to manage effectively, especially with so many leaders to toxically manage and gaslight. Honestly, since the Dell and EMC merger, what tangible value has BS contributed? It’s disheartening to see how much the organisation has changed – these characters don’t come even close to the calibre of previous leaders like AH IMHO

so you salary comes from charity ?
or DELL has division that is paid by not-sold-products but by magic not associated with any sale ?
@1jmf+1uAlp2eS No.Not at all.
I can see 4 days in the office and maybe Friday remote. Seems fair to me
@jil+1uAlp2eS, productivity spiked during covid. Go figure.
5 day in the office mandatory in a few months. Collapse is coming.
i watched the town hall now, and yeah there was the "get into the office (because that's where are our customers are??!) because we sell more" often mentioned, but I dont think this means right away they want that we return 5 days in to the office. its definitely a push towards more presence in the office, but I think/hope that at least the hybrid 3 days per week stays.
Michael Dell: ‘Yes, Remote Working Is Absolutely Here To Stay’
everyone will be hybrid from january on unless you are hundreds of miles from an office. If a long way from office and staying remote then there will be a massive target on your back.
Dell is moving away from remote and remote work is dead in dell
Was he telling the hybrid to go to the office or telling the remote to become hybrid
Mcdonald is a terrible leader, he thinks everyone works in sales, doesn't seem to understand that most people are not in sales
All code for Micheal wants this, so drink your kool-aid like good little children and don’t be making a fuss.
WFH was successful, the business grew and they believe this is a good method to get more people to leave without paying severance.
I would be surprised and disappointed if they insisted on a 5 day RTO mandate as this was never a requirement here in the past 20 years.
AM has not uttered sign inspiring phrase in years. He obviously wings these big calls. No doubt digging into tears of B.S. experience. Storage is down because you underappreciated it. "Lean into AI... Blah blah.... Ditto ..ditto". "Never been a more exciting time... whah whah whah ..." He is all about his stock price and his airplane collection.
...The guy who is just back from Helsinki and planning to travel to many many more Dell events wants you to get in to the office, because:
"...15 % something something"
Why don't they quote us the statistics (that I am sure they have) about how WFH has not affected productivity?
Why don't they quote all the statistics that show how positive WFH can be for many people's work, their health, their life?
Let's just pretend that the many many hours wasted walking around an office are benifical, because that's what we ave always done and we cannot think?
Talk about leadership...
