A lot of people missing standby oncall or missing the associates OT in UK.
DXC Exec MFs trying to silently steal our earned time on standby and money for their spare change, whilst on their luxury around the world tour of the DXC offices and clients

6- In case you haven't noticed, salaries in the US are far higher than for equivalent roles in the UK. So... there !!
Of course US salaries are higher as DXC saves tons of money not having to pay ridiculously for redundancy. In the US most states the company can layoff without having to pay any severance if they didn’t want to.
We in the US work longer hours and
maybe a little more pay. We have less holidays , less actual vacation time and the company is a US company.
India is worse than the UK, paid very little but can’t debug themselves out if a wet paper bag , if process and procedures are written 1st
Don’t get me started on I have to leave a SRT because it’s dinner time or need to catch a cab! Me worked straight 24by 7 4 days and was told to let India team handle it, after 4 hours my director begged me to come back and help fix the outage.
That of course wasn’t caused by the hardware/software we managed but by the OS platform team making network stack changes
Management just pile on more tasks. Which have probably been piled onto them from above. When you say you can't complete it they say and this is why you didn't get a 9 in your appraisal and get a pay rise. I didn't know there was a 9!? There isn't keep working su-kers.
They missed the stand by in uk we’ll get it next month or at least that’s what they’re saying …
If the execs and other greedy pigs did not carry on feeding at the trough and looked after the people on the ground this argument about pay and labour between UK and USA would not be happening.
The US government and law system need to sort those pigs out pronto.
@zfc+1uAVkOw6 If we're overpaid and not needed, why does the company rehire into the position on a significant increase? Yet it won't recognise the established staff know more and do more. No way I'm helping the newbie on 20% more come up to speed. They've lost all balance. And seemingly are determined to crash and burn.
@prb+1uAVkOw6 Yes medical insurance is very expensive here. Though I still think my salary is significantly higher than a peer in the U.K even accounting for this cost. Not to mention I can get access to Healthcare with minimum wait times. Don't get me wrong it could be better but I don't think it's nearly as bad as made out to be. In terms of public education there are affordable ways to do it here. Community College or online universities come to mind. People being stupid and attending 4 year private colleges to get a gender studies degree shouldn't be pitied when they're drowning in debt.
@yty+1uAVkOw6 if you're posting this in regards to the global reserve currency I would argue that Debt to GDP is largely irrelevant. As the Yen is the 3rd most widely used currency ahead of the GBP despite the issues you've highlighted.
As of the most recent data, the top two countries with the highest debt per capita are:
-
Japan – With a debt-to-GDP ratio exceeding 250%, Japan has the highest debt per capita, largely due to decades of government spending, low growth, and an aging population.
- United States – The U.S. has a significant debt per capita due to large national debt, driven by factors like defense spending, healthcare costs, and stimulus measures, with a debt-to-GDP ratio around 120-130%.
DXC isn’t overweight in the UK.
Do you have any idea how much the clients pay for the roles we do?
How about 10x on average? No I’m not talking sh-t. Find a finance manager in DXC and ask them.
Despite DXC earning 10x for literally EVERY ROLE they won’t give any pay rises.
Look at GBS revenue for the last 4 years. That’s primarily out of Europe!! Not USA!!
Also 10 years of sequential cuts is adequate time to fix the labour pyramid. Thousands of staff have been laid off too.
There is something more sinister at play here.
Also the USA is on its last legs too. If they were any good do you not think some of the new global accounts you guys were winnnig would find their way into regional revenue streams? Except you’re not winning either. NOBODY in DXC is winning. Why not?
Also if the USA was soo good, where is the AI to propel this company forward? Where is the new Silicon Valley tech in DXC? Right! There’s nothing.
Bottom line you can make out the UK is bad for DXC, but the USA is no better. It’s probably worse.
The salaries are higher, as are the costs. How’s your medical, how is your higher education funded? How about the UK ra-ing the world for a few centuries now you whine? Do better.
@fwn+1uAVkOw6 As a general rule people generally get paid a lot more in the U.S. than most of the States with strong labor/social saftey nets. For better or worse think it's a tradeoff that we make for better or worse.
Eh U.S. still has the best companies and currency. It should also be pretty obvious that a group of countries Brazil/Russia/India/China/South Africa that dont even really like each other aren't going to disrupt the dollar. China and India are the only to impressive entrants and they often have border clashes. Compare the closest allies of the U.S. (Canada/AUS/UK etc) imagine us having a border clash today? That sort of thing is unfathomable to most Americans because of decades of trust we've built. Yes the U.S. may randomly decide to topple the goverment of some central American country but I think given the same position China and likely India would do the same but worse. Everyone knows it.
@bxo+1uAVkOw6- In case you haven't noticed, salaries in the US are far higher than for equivalent roles in the UK. So... there !!
@ubm+1uAVkOw6 Without bashing the U.K. too much here I agree with you. We've known for a log time that the most disgruntled employees are based in the UK. The fact of the matter is DXC is overweight there and much of the staff would've been laid off long ago. The issue is layoffs are too expensive to execute so they just freeze pay and hope people quit. This phenomenon is true for the rest of EMEA aswell but the U.K.'s economy appears to be peticularly anemic and this gets averaged out over the thousands of employees dxc has there. Obviously we can debate the morality of our two systems (I have complaints about the U.S aswell). But it's easy to see how DXC UK ended up in this position.
In the old CSC days the UK used to carry the US!
The contracts the UK had were worth billions.
And the UK isn’t none competitive m0ron!
Look at your country! You have to sanction anyone who presents any competition to you.
You make fu-k all, China is king and owns your a-s.
You literally start wars, blow up pipelines, get your as--s beat and cry why your country has the world’s highest debt.
One word my friend, BRICS.
Fair criticism I think
HOWEVER you yanks get paid 3x more than a UK employee.
So in a 5 year stint at DXC, you come out with waaaaay more money than a UK staff would even with redundancy at the end of the 5 years.
Lastly you’re absolutely right!! DXC ONLY keep UK staff for none offshore work. Gov and ITAR.
My manager assumes that I'll be available to take calls during off work hours. Sorry, you don't pay me, I don't work. End of conversation.
@@npc+1uAVkOw6 - Whats your point mate? You have strong labor laws protecting the old and making you noncompetitive long term? I have rock solid peers in many countries, but I dont pi-s on them here. You use the meme 'muy g-ns' to make fun of the US. Well played. Where are you at and how is that working out for you currently? Do better you nub.
OT should be on-call below, but you get the point I am sure
Bad news @bxo+1uAVkOw6 - most if not all of EU get paid OT and redundancy. It is called strong labour laws which do not exist in US of A but hey you can all buy g-ns to make up for it!!
Triggered US counterparts lmao
You all in the UK are pu----s. OT , on call pay , redundancy, we in the US never got on call pay, OT what’s gat we are salary employees and the amount of money you get for redundancy is nuts. DXC shouldn’t hire anyone from the UK unless it’s for a government contract
