Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

IHX in the SE, what are ya'll doing?

I'm in IHX myself and it's getting difficult to stay busy. They have us out doing what few repairs there are, Salesforce calls to customers that just scream at us since they've already been called 1-3x already. Flyer drops and follow ups as well.

But honestly after today we've done as much as we can. We can't door knock since that breaks our policies, and there's only so many businesses in the area we can contact since the biz fiber team seems to be doing that as well.

Has anyone gone through this before? What are they going to make us do if it doesn't end by next week? I 100% support our techs, they work hard as it is and deserve more, I'm just what ya'll are experiencing or have experienced in the past.

Think it’s hilarious these people have no idea we have the COE team in IHX that will sell for us in the business channel. Once we get the deal started they will complete it with turnkey and we can offer all the same solutions as BAT. The only issue with selling business in IHX is you will be windfalled for selling over 60 lines. Also no I don’t want to go to the BAT team and make a 45 dollars per ppv I want to stay in IHX and make $70 per ppv lol 😂 IHX needs to start a channel section for business. At least we go to the customers place of business and not sit at our home or office.

Business Fiber isn't a complex solution. Speed. Price. 😂😂😂 If we make buying a fiber internet connection complex we're sc--wed.

If this is your answer you really need to stay away from business fiber… there is so many more things than just a standard abf connection. You have ASE,ADI, and don’t even start with the voice options….

You literally answered it yourself lol. Because we have nothing else to do. Idk what other ihx teams look like, but everyone on my team are very qualified to sell to businesses. With the exception of 1 person, everyone is a former rep, asm, or rsm. We've all set up hundreds of biz accounts and know what we're doing, so don't speak for us lol.

then get a job in business. I get it you guys are qualified then if you want to work with businesses, go to BAT or fiber? What’s the point of stealing stuff that roles like that have to do. We don’t do that to yall because we can’t, so the same should go for you guys.

Agreed, had to clean up a lot of cr-p from IHX sellers selling into business accounts. They are best at serving basic consumers, working with IHX reps it's obvious they do not have any technical acumen, or higher education/college degree. The hours spent correcting IHX sellers cheap used car salesman like sales practices and short cuts, along with the customer dissatisfaction caused by this is not driving the value to AT&T,

Why are you guys touching businesses? Isn’t it your job to do consumer? This is why BAT gets mad at you folks. I get it, you guys have nothing to do, but that BAT’s territory. You guys cause a lot of issues within business because of some of the incorrect things you say to businesses. No offense but if you guys want to work business, then go to BAT.

IDK but IHX needs to stay TF away from CRU and business fiber customers.

Simply put and with respect, IHX is not equipped to sell complex solutions. Y’all have 3 wireless plans and choose from whatever internet speeds populate on the OPUS mobile tablet. Our Business customers deserve engagement from consultive sellers with the experience and acumen to ensure we’re capturing every opportunity. Cybersecurity, VoIP, Firewalls, Dynamic Defense, Turnkey rate plans all lost if IHX engages. Seen many deals with IHX in business go south, it’s a great consumer sales channel - Stick to that!

No door knocking really??? They have us doing that for AIA, fiber, and businesses. We haven't sold anything that wasn't an appointment since early last week. I been trying to stay busy but man I'm right there with you. Our ad has been getting ripped by our director who doesn't even know what they are doing.
