Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Layoffs Coming (I think)

I was an executive at Sears years ago. Left, went to a different company, now I am now at Allstate and have been for about 4 years. Want my opinion? I think Allstate lacks diversity in their leadership, just like Sears did. Everyone has either been there for 20+ years or less than 5. Pay attention. This new business model for ATS and other areas is so pointless when you have the same senior citizens implementing it hahahahaha I cant even take this place seriously

Management is meeting now in Chicago. I'm sure this is being discussed. We'll find out in about a month, no doubt.

They’ve got so many old dogs who haven’t learned a new trick in 20 years. It’s a huge problem.

Of course. It's what happens here.

In the meantime, 'people leaders' are being flow to Chicago from all over the map to glad hand each other at how great the company doing. And they'll no doubt pi-s away several hundred thousand, if not millions, more for another IDE 'Summit Marquee Event' boondoggle.

Oh, and they have $50 million in spare change lying around to sponsor college football.

@fxe+1u93YDb0 a shoe salesman probably has more skills than an Allstate "Executive".

Shoe salesman at Sears doesn’t qualify you as an “executive “. Go tell your made up story on some other board.

I was part of the National General side of the acquisition. A lot of our Allstate counterparts were bragging about how they’d been at Allstate for longer than the National General side had been alive. Seemingly not noticing that their inability to adapt, let alone innovate, was going to ki-l them.
