Would you people just stop with the Chicken Little Syndrome? It has become tiresome and boring. There will be no more layoffs en masse. What's done is done.

However, the bad old days of coddling the quiet quitting, mouse mover types are over. No more sitting around (doing less than the bare minimum) and collecting a paycheck because it is impossible to get let go. Perform, excel, and do your job, or else plan your exit strategy before someone else makes the decision for you. That decision will be to give you the safe space and opportunity to grow on another company's dime.
