Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

Can’t even remember the good times

You know, when this company was actually worth working for. I’ve been here long enough to witness all the changes for the worse. These days it’s just plain ugly and rotten.

I remember liking my job 10 years ago. And because I liked my job I didn't mind working extra hours for a deadline or helping out someone else. Now....I am just doing enough to avoid the HReaper (I hope). I have managed to slide through so far. But the fact that I just turned 50 plus am at the top of my pay range makes me feel my days here are numbered. Isn't that a kick in the pants? I'm at the top of my range because I had years of good reviews -- which in this current environment --makes me a prime target to get let go.....

Boudreaux is the one to blame for turning what was once a great employer into just a cash cow for her and the stockholders.

I remember the good times, when we actually cared about the members and pulled together to help them out when we became aware of bad situations. I don't think an offshore associate it going to care if someone is out of food, or needs a ride to the doctor.

I remember the good times. It was when we were still a state non-profit "Blue" before we were bought out by Wellpoint/Anthem. After the sale it turned into piranhas in a fishbowl. I had coworkers stealing credit for work and trying to get other coworkers fired because they thought it would save themselves. Oh wait, one of our executives did make it out with millions upon millions of dollars and retired with multi generational wealth so there's that, the rest not so much.
