I am in a local Compliance plan. We received a "Compliance update" in light of the recent compliance transformation updates and considering insights. They have decided to pause hiring for the open PHCO and EBOS Compliance Officer positions. My team has a meeting at the end of the month to discuss restructuring. I wouldn't doubt that we will lose some staff.

What do the competency studies include?
Yeah, I've been saying this all along. My leaders have been telling us not to worry. Given the duplication of work, it doesn't make sense that they would keep all of us. They've had us do competency studies, work, and studies outside regular studies. I'm sure layoffs are coming sooner than later.
It will be an interesting rest of the year as they transform compliance into a corporate function. I would certainly expect some redundancies and duplication of work to be identified as they pull local health plan compliance staff into the corporate structure and centralize certain compliance functions.
