What is the highest level for experienced engineer at BTC. I have 15+ years of experience but was offered CL 27. What are typical packages you can expect for this level. Also no mention of cash or stock bonus targets. What is typical cash or stock bonus at this level?

Take what you can get from EM immediately then bargain hard with Chevron when they start recruiting BTC folks. You will have a better chance getting a higher CL with Chevron as an EM employee vs a recruit off the street.

Cash bonuses generally start at CL 30, at least for Americans.
Be careful with joining BTC; the growth plans are crazy; growing too fast, not caring about our culture and the environment is becoming toxic. Not a good place to be. Go to BP or wait until Chevron has their own TC; dont joinEM

ExxonMobil treats Indian employees just like it treats all employees — unfairly.
Will make false promises during interviews to get you in the door. The culitre is horrible, no one bas a clue what professional development and career planning actually means. you meed to be part of certain groups and act a certain way, the company is full of people who are inhuman and cannot survive or exist outside this cult/bubble.
CL 27 with 15 years should get paid around 60 lakhs per annum, and no stocks until performance assessment. Stocks are not significant compare to benefits that other Indian companies offer.
Exxon is stuck in 2000s atleast 20 years behind mentality and culture wise, they dont believe the world as a whole has advanced. Just be mindful of that, rare to find someone who believes in merit of promoting smart and deserving Indian nationals over incompetent local mid-country Americans who readily sell their soul to the company.
You have options now. Shell, BP and now Chevron as well. Even if you take up the BTC offer now, you can shop around and go to the place with the best pay, bonus and perks.
CL27 is not too bad for experienced hire. No cash or stock bonus. They may offer high salary to get you in the door but getting any promotion or to the next CL will be difficult. You are a hired hand and will be well compensated so don’t expect anymore.
We don’t give cash bonuses to anyone.
Being a CL27 is great for you. I would say that is atypical and most would get CL26. honestly you will have to hit the ground running and learn while adding value or else your ranking will drop and you won’t get a high raise.
