Let me get this straight. ELT announced 7% LR, Why ?
Cisco had a great last quarter but bad year.
ELT gives guidance at start of year on "earning projection"
Who Hires ELT ? their reporting manager, (Board in Chuck's case) not democratically.
Who hires leaders below ELT ? ELT itself.
Leaders are promoted by their reporting manager.
Technically, who missed the Year End Earning ? Chuck, ELT and Leaders.
Who is "majorly" getting impacted by LRs ? Bottom level IC employees. Why because they followed guidance of their leaders.
If you need accountability in first place, Chuck & ELT should held responsible for missing "earning projection or targets" bcoz they selected their leaders and their leaders didn't delivered. ICs are foot soldiers. ICs never gave any yearly guidance.
Chuck you and your Team gave that guidance to "shareholders". If anyone is at fault, It's you and your ELT.
Accountability is not term, you use loosely and get away with it.. It should also show character of a person.
Accountability would have been "Nobody in Cisco will take yearly bonus to save a LR." NO Travel for ELT for next 6 months. No RSUs for company for 1 year.
