The difference is whether you’re talking about net new headcount or replacing people who’ve left. There’s no reason we need to keep growing number of staff at the rate we have been for the last 3 years for the rest of 2024 when we’re about to acquire 5000 Cigna employees we don’t know what to do with.

It is pretty normal during an election season for them to do a hiring freeze about this time.

Government business is not doing well. It is dragging down the overall profitability so far this year.

There’s no hiring freeze. Probably your VP just wasn’t able to justify why they needed more people.

All about Cigna take over. They need money for this.

They are spending over 3 billion dollars in this Cigna MA acquisition, which is unlikely to be profitable for them in the short term. Things like hiring freezes are cost saving measures that sr leadership can use to justify their massive bonuses in March.

Probably related to the CareAllies acquisition and uncertainty regarding the upcoming election. HCSC is smart with their money and how they manage it. Track record and credit rating prove that
