No surprise here - every big acquisition has a big layoff. Chevron would be this year as well if Exxon hadn't held up Hess in court. No matter whether Chevron wins or loses Hess, big layoffs will soon follow. My guess is late 2025.
There’s about 30 reorgs going on already across the company. Some are going to be extremely deep cuts.
