Lots of people here seem to agree that it is best within Gainwell’s corrupt environment to just do nothing and draw paychecks.
Are they safe and immune from layoffs?

Completely disagree with the previous two posts. The people doing nothing are NOT the problem. The problem is so much bigger than that. Leadership is the problem.
If you can’t see that then your head is in the sand.
Agree 100% with previous post
Like someone said earlier - these kind of stay and quit colleagues are root cause of the problem - their paychecks are like cr-p from other hardworking colleagues that they feed upon. Shame on them!
Just because somebody is doing the job they're paid to do, does not mean they are oblivious to the rest. "Two wrongs don't make a right." Keep your integrity. Do your job. I agree, don't give overtime and don't let any job stress seep in to your after hours life.
@Peter
You are spot on with what’s going on with Gainwell.
The majority of not 100% of what Peter says here is accurate from my perspective.
Ignoring is definitely an interesting approach to a problem.
@Peter - Your keen level of insight based on one sentence is so immensely profound.
I never cease to be amazed at your ignorance, spin and effort you put in to insight conflict.
Keep on keepin on sir
Ladies and gentlemen we have a Gainwell defender. A truth denier. A person that likes to take a beating from an abusive spouse and refuse to acknowledge that the spouse is the problem.
You can’t deny the facts. Gainwell lays off people weekly without explanation. They offshore as much as possible. They are losing more business than they are taking in. They are operating in the red financially. Their culture has become extremely toxic. They don’t value the employee. They are not meeting SLAs at nearly every account. They are on corrective action plans at the majority of the accounts. They sell things to states that they have no intention of delivering and don’t even have the ability to deliver. They do that just to land the account knowing that it is a long process to change vendors by the states. They are operating unethically and quite frankly illegally.
Your head is in the sand.
I hope they're not safe. Should be first ones to go.
I've been doing nothing for years now and am still here. Is my time coming? Probably. But I'm still here.
It really depends on your manager and if you are in good with that individual. If you're buddy-buddy, your chances are much better on weathering out the storm. If not, then you could be offered up as the sacrificial lamb.
I don't do office politics and have never been good at it. And personally, I'm not there to be Mr. Personality. It su-ks, but such is life at Gainwell. It's not so much what you know, as who you know and if you part of the Guys
No one is immune from layoffs.
The best advice here is to just lay low. Don’t volunteer for any work. Don’t speak up in meetings. Do as little as possible. And if you can get away with doing nothing then you definitely should do that.
You are just a number. You have no value to this company or to the leaders. They want to get rid of you for a cheaper replacement.
This is just a job.
