Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Was the CEO “retired” over falling ESAT scores?

Wayne sounded nervous in the last town hall, and then this random town hall came on. In corporate America, I’ve never heard of a score that low.

Perhaps the board cared most about that? Overall, good riddance. Childishly, ding-do-g the Wayne is gone

contrary to all these comments. No, he wasn't forced out. All EMG have contracts. CEO's historically don't serve for very long. They have a specific list of things they hired to achieve. Once complete, both parties can decide how they proceed and whether they want to pursue the new tasks at hand or just take his package and move on.

The way USAA does employee satisfaction is sc--wy. They only could 9s and 10s as satisfied. Supposedly because of “higher standards”. Yeah, right.

If you add the 6s and 7s (like most corporate America), then we would be around 70 percent. That is about 10-12 points below most companies that are in the 80s.

They should own the massive changes that have been made like RTO, Cigna, and the layoffs. Then do something about it.

Wish this was a firing, but no it was an actual retirement. He hits his 5 year CEO mark later this year and never intended to stay longer than that.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that anyone on the board cares about what we’re saying or hearing our concerns. Also, if the upcoming election pans out and a certain stays in office, get ready for even leaner times and sh*ttier work conditions to protect member’s assets and the association. That’s how it works.

Please say a prayer for everyone on here. Now that Wayne is leaving, I worry they will have nothing to complain about.

One thing is certain, productivity will go up because people will get off this site and get back to work.

Wonderful news. He caused chaos and had a very negative impact on the culture. Sure hope its a quiet goodbye and there isn't too much time wasted trying to create some glorified view of non-existent achievements from his tenure. We need to move on quickly and get focused on the future.

Deeply hope a better LEADER is named to replace him. One that is able to connect with the employee base and shows true concern towards creating a great work culture so we can see this company rise again to how great it can be.

All those company credit card charges that are abuse and misappropriation of members hard earned money. Those are not perks. That’s inappropriate and misappropriation of funds. Hope all of them C suite get the boot and revise the company credit card policy once and for all. Our military members put their lives on the line for not much pay compared to these soulless executives who dishonor their sacrifices with frivolous and non business related charges.

He was forced out for sure. He will do like that woman who was forced out earlier. He will lay low for a short time, and then come back as an advisor on a board somewhere. They never go away forever. They reincarnate as "advisors".

He shed tears which in my perception meant he was forced out. Just my opinion. Bye wayne. Enjoy the water and the golf.
