After last week’s FlexTO announcement, how many of you are considering leaving CDW, by either finding another job or retiring? I think CDW’s strategy is to reduce the workforce the easiest way possible…by having folks self-exit

Yes, I’m planning to leave CDW. However, moving on was already a given since, like most organizations, CDW does little to incentivize anyone to stay long term. If your goal is career and/or salary progression, aim to change jobs at least every 3 years.
High performance here has only resulted in a meager 3.5% raise and additional work, and I know that’s the rule and rather than an exception. Since I have no path to promotion in the foreseeable future, I’m currently open to opportunities I discover through my network or recruiter outreach. I’m planning to actively search once I reach the 2 year mark in a few months.
“Job hopping” has more than doubled my total comp in 5 years. As a worker still earning the majority of my income from my corporate job, I have a fiduciary duty to myself and my four legged dependents to negotiate the best conditions for me, which due to corporate comp rules (hi, 10% raise cap for promotions) means regularly changing employers.
Why would anyone leave over this? There are other things to leave over such as our pathetic leadership roster, but not a PTO policy that actually gives you time off.
Take your vacations and off days as normal. I know it s—ks to lose the built up time maybe they’ll make adjustments to the plan before the due date
At some point, yes, but it's tough out there now so I assume I'll be here awhile unless I'm let go. But as far as this new PTO policy goes, I'm going to take full advantage of it and they can just get rid of me if they don't like it.

If they’re looking to cut positions/save money why not start with the Directors & VP spots definitely an over abundance of them.
This announcement isn't good. Coworkers have until 3/1/2025 to use all their accrued vacation time. From a leadership perspective this will potentially save CDW millions of dollars on paying out on unused time and position the company for future layoffs.
In the short term it's possible CDW will be negatively impacted for Q3, Q4 and Q1-2025 as coworkers will need schedule time off.
I would hate to be a CDW manager with a senior staff sitting on hundreds of hours of unused time. Because of the nature of the business projects/deals/orders will fall between the cracks and be lost to the competition. Genius!
This is just another example of Chris Leahy and leadership pulling back on benefits that coworkers looked forward to in exchange for taking lower pay. This company is in a woeful position and in need of a re-org starting at the CEO position.
Hello, HR, is that you phishing?
Now is the time to look for opportunities. People move around and there are always opportunities.
Someone out there is upset they only make $120K/$220K/$320K a year and want more so they leave, that leaves a position to fill.
