Thread regarding Alteryx layoffs

Your ideas?

If you were in charge, what changes would you make to the business or products to make greatest impact on AYX growth targets?

I would defintately fire executives in PE. They made so many bad descisions, just name a few:

building a ton of "inno" apps and then throw them away;

refused to extend previous Designer Cloud version "goldeneye" and chose to use Trifacta, and now return to "standard" mode which is exactly the version "goldeneye" before Trifacta;

Trifacta aquisition is a joke, what benefit did get from it except enlarging the PE and then letting the good peple go from them?

Desktop Cloud ecosystem is a joke too, it's been worked for years, you can still NOT create, upload and download or edit a workflows from one to another. Think about Microsoft Office on desktop and on web, and you see how sh-t our cloud offerings are.

I would start by firing every director and above in the product org and most in the engineering org all the way up to the CPO and CTO (for cause too, so there is no severance cost involved). We need real accountability for the whole portfolio of failed products that they refuse to fing acknowledge. We can’t just have folks like Jay and suresh pretend like their godawful decisions didn't cost the company billions in lost value. Everyone else paid the price for failure. R&d still hasn't and they are way overdue

After that, I would get a CEO and product leader who has built a spreadsheet or two in their lives, knows WTF "analytics" means and the types of products that can win in the market.

We obviously need a CEO as well. Amir can't just play pretend CEO forever.

This company is dangerously close to imploding. Major customers and leaving left and right EVERY SINGLE DAY

My advice, Take an offer from S@lesforce and become tableau prep. Don’t book any non refundable flights to Las Vegas. The sad thing is, all my customers are looking for exit strategies, some are more mature than others, but they are certainly reducing their exposure to AYX.

Might as well be folded into a bigger player at this point. AYX has such a fine surface area of to who/where it's useful that it's better to fold into a bigger offering than playing the losing game of trying to grow where it's useful.
