gip+1u2G9bR6 here again...

The folks referring to "Union Slugs" and the like have no idea about the unique skills required for some union positions. An awful lot of represented jobs are not digging ditches or directing phone inquiries.

On another note, to union folks... We'll be working together again soon. Stand up for your rights and values but remember the customers, as well as that some managers have nothing but respect for your skills and abilities. We really can't do it all, but we'll try to keep the customers, so you have something to come back to. We aren't hired scabs. we have no choice but to work our assignment.

Let's try to stay classy on both sides. We're still a team, this is a temporary situation.

ULP Strike starts at 3pm 8-16-24

The ULP strike is being called district-wide at 3:00 PM Eastern today. Members must return their company vehicles and other property to their work centers. The Local will set up a call this evening for updates and to address any concerns from our members.

CWA has filed a charge with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), alleging that AT&T has committed unfair labor practices by bargaining in bad faith with the Union: by not sending representatives to the bargaining table with the authority to make decisions; for engaging in surface bargaining; for refusing to bargain over mandatory subjects of bargaining; and reneging on agreements made in bargaining. The strike is to protest the Company's unfair labor practices charge.

Members from three (3) different bargaining units will be on strike: BellSouth Telecommunications (BST) or AT&T Southeast, AT&T Utility Operations, and BellSouth/AT&T Billing.

Keep an eye out for more communications!!!

They will be back on the job at 12 pm Monday; Company has already been notified by CWA, letting the company see how organized they are and seeing how serious membership is.

"Any documentation out there proving strike

It's real, per an email from my contingency supervisor.

The truck is safe and secure. You’re more than welcome to go get it and show us all your skills. Desk jockey!

Where’s company sycophant mister “Union slugs, you aren’t going to strike” “Grow some ba--s” and all the other encouraging sayings? THANKS! How do you like us now? If this doesn’t suit you, we can go longer so, you can at least earn a days pay filling in somewhere because, YOU failed at this job!! 😂 😂

Now throw a temper tantrum for Daddy Stank! 😡

I’ve also heard from my BAU management but that’s not a source available to everyone.

"Sorry Tmob, you just had another bunch of cell tower fiber feeds go down, we will get to it when our work force returns.

And that's BIG right now... The exec focus on it is incredible.

Some outside managers are upset because, now they have egg on their face, having to tell the customer their employee is going on strike and they don’t have the skills to finish the job. So much for “union slugs” don’t know anything, hoping we would strike and saying we don’t have the ba--s. What’s next? That it won’t be long enough to satisfy company sycophants? We can make it longer if the company bargaining team keeps playing games. You don’t think we aren’t prepared? I’m good for a few months, no trouble! Just wait till the damages, outages and big circuits start going down. How many calls from the government, news organizations, politicians, etc. do you think CEO John Stankey will be getting? Sorry Tmob, you just had another bunch of cell tower fiber feeds go down, we will get to it when our work force returns.

The company will be strongly encouraged by the general counsel to start bargaining in good faith. They are in violation of the 1935 National Labor Relations Act, aka..Wagner Act.

I'm a mid level manager. I came from many years in craft, in central offices and data centers, and have no question I personally can successfully complete my assignment. Based on previous experience, I'll be stamping out fires, due to the simple lack of experienced coworkers during a stoppage. I'm betting a contingency worker who's only training is a bunch of videos will cause a major, newsworthy outage.

That said... None of the CWA districts are asking for anything outrageous.

F- Stankey...

These losers in management are in the fetal position about driving in to an air conditioned office every day. Good luck having them cover any of the work during the strike.

Some bad takes on here. You do labor to make a living. Not to satisfy At&t's clients.
ATT should care about their customers by not taking dumps on their workforce over and over again.

Useless goons these union folks are. Already had a few smartchat in to have live dispatched jobs rejected due to work stoppage. Right in front of the customer.

They don’t care about the customer period. Never have and never will. You’d think they were EMPLOYEE’d by CWA and REPRESENTED by AT&T the way they act. No class. No class at all.

Enjoy your little picketing vacay losers. It’ll all be here waiting when you get back.
