Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Xerox new negative vacation recovery illegal

Xerox's new negative vacation recovery policy i’d illegal according to many state laws but most importantly, federal guidelines.

under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), an employer cannot deduct wages from an employee’s final paycheck to recover a negative vacation balance unless the employee has agreed to it in advance. The FLSA permits deductions for advances, such as paid leave, but only when there is a prior agreement or understanding between the employer and the employee. Without such an agreement, these deductions would violate federal law,

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!! they are not allowed to strong arm you legal rights as an employee.

Funny they can figure out this and have resources to figure this out but can’t figure out anything else … focus on Pennies while Rome has burned to the ground.

They are. These ridiculous ideas usually come from lower level managers who think they are doing a great job by saving the company a few bucks by sc--wing employees. What goes around comes around considering eventually everyone will be let go. Funny to watch when it happens.
