Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Take note Centene

I was laid off, and I had to accept a role that's half of my previous salary to make ends meet...a bridge position until I land something better.
Although the benefits are amazing!

BUT it feels sooooo good to be trained on my role. Being instructed on LOBs, walk-through of the systems used, learning the business in a set number of weeks, and being able to ask questions!

I hate that my time at Centene ended on their terms, and ever applying with them. BUT I have NO STRESS and I'm reminded there is better out there!

I was a CENTENE Leader who left this Spring making over 6 figures. It was so bad, and run by the most toxic women at the top, that I just quit. Left the entire salary and benefits because I wasn't sleeping, I couldn't do anything right, and had a very successful career. The top top brass at Centene are all women and they are all terrible - absolutely terrible. They bring their bad behavior, and a huge stick up their yipper, and basically hate men. It's real - so happy to be out! I am free from their toxic garbage.

On the one hand, it is sad that those who had to leave on Centene terms and those who got to leave on their own terms are having to take lower wage positions because that's what's out there but on the other hand, to be out of a toxic, stressed fueled environment is AMAAAAAZING!!! And yes, the joy of actually being trained in your role... 😲

Glad you made it out even if it was not by choice. The rest of you looking to get out, don't lose hope!!!

Same here. I resigned on my own terms a couple of months ago. I felt so good leaving that toxic place. I even took a pay cut because I was sooo ready to get out of there. I truly realized how truly toxic my managers (definitely not leaders) were once I left. I don’t believe either of them had a college education and they both were straight out of hillbilly land. The only reason they were in their positions is because all of the managers that were before them left, so we got stuck with the bottom of the barrel. I have been so happy and stress free since I left. I have managers that actually walk the walk and don’t just talk the talk. There is definitely better out there. I’m speaking from experience.
