Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Same pattern every year

HR quietly gives raises to a small number of employees, most rated 1, most in low cost countries. What's really bad is most of the time the Managers are not even told, the raise just shows up. Very embarrassing, and makes the managers look bad. People bash middle management on this forum but most of the time they are in the dark. HR does not communicate. It's another symptom of a highly dysfunctional company. For some reason the executives are clueless about it, as well as why they continue the death spiral - no communication from leadership, and no strategy. No growth shouldn't be a surprise.

@4kho+1tlYxbxz makes an excellent point.

you people need to understand HR doesn’t decide if you get a raise or you don’t get a raise. All HR does is take all the reviews rates them and send it up the chain blame the CEO in the board.

one day you people will actually understand how businesses work and maybe then you might be smart enough to get a raise

How to demotivate your employees while raking in millions that's DXC senior management. PURE SELFISHNESS, NO CARE FOR OTHERS. No care for the employees struggling during cost of living crisis. Shame on them! Why would employees want to grow the company when they are getting a year on year pay cut. We need a senior management with some common sense to run this company.

Never said all 1 rated get raises. Said small number get raises, meaning of that small number most are 1's, and most in low-cost countries. Whole groups of people do get bypassed for sure. Managers are kept in the dark, so they don't have a lot of influence. Some fight like he-l and are successful but that's rare.

I imagine most in HR are also on the same 0% policy, and thus really don't care. There is no reward for doing a good job, and seemingly nothing happens for doing a bad one as is made evident by the senior team all still being here.
