Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

Leadership pay raises last year

Wondering where the savings is going for your PTO?

https://www.chicagobusiness.com/insurance/blue-cross-blue-shield-illinois-execs-notch-big-raises

Maurice Smith 26% raise to $28M
Milton Carroll went from $9.3M to $17.7M
Opella Ernest 21% increase to $9.3M

10 highest paid received $88.7M last year up 26% from 2022

Anyone else get a 26% raise last year?

Wonder where the savings from stolen PTO went? Executive salaries.

I'm a member of the member owned company and as an owner I would like to understand the justification for the pay increase along with the justification for stealing 2 days of PTO from employees.

Maybe someone should ask about financial performance this year when they start talking about admin cost issues

The question I would ask, are you doing everything you could do to maximize the profit of the firm. Do you work from
Home 3 days a week? Have you given 30+ years to the company. When people look at your pay and the effort you put out. Stop counting others pockets.. work hard and don’t get married and don’t have kids and put everything in HCSC….

This why I log 50 to 60 hours a week but only work 40.

Maurice & team, please explain to your employees and also members who own HCSC, why your salary has doubled recently. Please share your 2022 goals and accomplishments so we can understand why we get 1% and you get 20%.

Also, please share with us how many vacation days you get per year. Don't show us the HR grid, give us a screen shot of your workday

Any truth to the rumors that Maurice just bought a new Aston Martin?

So everyone got a 1-3 % pay raise and they got over 20%.

There is zero accountability between leaders. The company that runs worlds most ethical company contest should receive this information along with the news that they reduced our time off while happily taking these sickening raises. Think of how many communities and homeless people we could help with a fraction of what they’re all getting paid. 💩
