Thread regarding National Oilwell Varco Inc. layoffs

Facility Closers?

Is NOV starting to close facilities that are slow due to their mess up in Rigs? Alot of manufacturing facilities in Rig were affected by the poor forecast that was put out and cost billions. Forced many facilities to cut to a very small head count. And the funny part about all of it is they keep sending these report videos talking about how well we’re doing when in reality manufacturing is suffering, but wait to go SALES!

It does seem like NOV (National Oilwell Varco) is facing some significant challenges. There have been reports of facility closures and layoffs, particularly in areas affected by poor forecasts and underperformance. The manufacturing sector, especially those linked to rigs, has been hit hard, leading to reduced headcounts and operational downsizing.

It's frustrating when there's a disconnect between the reality on the ground and the messages being communicated by the company. While sales might be doing well, it's important for the company to address the issues in manufacturing and provide a more transparent and accurate picture of the situation.
