Omnissa needs its own page on here now

The axe is falling, for the US employees at least.

Disappointing, nothing substantial and specific. There is not real content.

PE investors and industry analysts are attending Omnissa Live in the hope that a real vision for innovation and growth will emerge from the event. Let's see what happens.

Omnissa will host a web event dubbed "Omnissa Live" on July 23. This will be the first in a series of events where Omnissa will inform about its vision and strategy as a standalone company.

Omnissa should have a meaningful plan to reverse the downward trends.

They must leave the old EUC leadership toxicity of perpetual apathy behind.

"These cuts are needed so they can support their plan to provide comp increases/bonuses within the first year of existence."

Not true. KKR told Shankar that cost-cutting is required to improve profitability. They can't unload Omnissa to a buyer with the current balance sheet. If we're unable to grow, then more cuts are inevitable. KKR is a high-profit company with a proven cut-and-sell playbook.

None of my team members have any confidence in the current Omnissa leadership or the KKR promise to invest in growth. We expect more headcount cuts due to sales decline.

We're on a downward spiral that is now unstoppable as more customers exit.

Hilarious. Omnissa has 165 followers on X.Not sure the CMOs plan is going too well. This big launch that everyone is talking about is like some Apprentice challenge where they have a week to think up a company idea, high school kids would do a better job.Trump would have destroyed them if they were on the show back in the day. Can’t wait for the big reveal (or is that rehash)

The layoffs only impact countries where omnissa is a legal entity (ex US and Ireland). They are trimming PM and sales. These cuts are needed so they can support their plan to provide comp increases/bonuses within the first year of existence.

“ Anyone know what the severance package was from the last round of layoffs?”

VMware package

UC was in a coma under VMware, being standalone is an opportunity, but not a guarantee of success.

Omnissa is just a life boat for few ex-vmware employees since mothership has sunk already. Omnissa is going to sink before it reaches the shore. AI/ML buzzwords is not helping anymore. I hope Omnissa is staying away from DEI , ESG and other woke/leftist agendas. You guys should move Omnissa HQ to Texas.

"Seeing adios messages today, wonder how many will go in this round"

Managers are saying 300+ but won't be specific about teams affected, only that there is more to come soon. I'm assuming they mean cuts in other countries, once approved.

"Omnissa will host a web event dubbed "Omnissa Live" on July 23."

Who cares, other than the handful of involved employees? This newly veneered ship set sail and is already sinking. Do you think that customers don't know what's happening?

"Omnissa Dying Slowly" would be a more accurate event name.

"Hopefully, KKR will prioritize customer's success and employee well-being alongside shareholder value."

FYI, our Customer Success team was hit hard by this headcount reduction. We've been told to expect more cuts in the coming quarters. How many remain is anyone's guess.

"Shankar will continue to conceal additional layoffs."

KKR is making all big decisions about the financial viability of Omnissa, and Shankar is merely a puppet. He likely doesn't know what's coming until he is told. Expect more cost-cutting measures from KKR. Headcount and employee bonus payments are likely just the beginning of planned cuts.

Most of our sales teams anticipated this first cut, due to the declining pipeline. However, the remainder of our employees are concerned about when the next wave comes - and will the severance package be enough while we all search for new jobs. I guess that most of us at Omnissa are actively searching now. Best of luck to everyone.

So, after about 300 layoffs, what else can they do to save money? Oh I know - let’s not pay people their bonuses.

I’m beginning to be done with this place, thinking it might be time to move on.

"I wonder how anyone is suppose to feel loyal working at these companies"

Loyalty is a thing long of the past. Employers haven't been loyal to their employees in decades. Why should employees feel any loyalty at all? Employers don't care if they have loyal employees.”
Loyalty to employees went out the door when corporations, starting with IBM, began pulling back pensions in the mid 90’s. IBM set the new standard for -we don’t care about you and BTW you’re just a number-

Shankar will continue to conceal additional layoffs. Don't expect any transparency. Why? KKR has mandated cashflow expectations that must be met ASAP. More cuts are to come as Omnissa profitability challenges are a top priority by KKR leadership. Wise up everyone

“ We've been disappointed with the level of communication from Omnissa's executive management since the KKR acquisition. With the recent staff reductions right before bonuses were promised have only added to this already shaky employee sanity. Our customers need and deserve more communication. We understand the need for financial efficiency, but it raises questions about KKR's long-term commitment to Omnissa's customers and employees. Hopefully, KKR will prioritize customer's success and employee well-being alongside shareholder value.”
Nailed it! It’s totally unfair that VCF employees got huge RSU benefits and many of those in EUC will most likely get nothing.

some US colleagues being layoff today, but indeed no internal communication.

Weird thing is that only countries that moved on Omnissa (Legally) seems to proceed to layoff.

Is China,India , EU all getting impacted

None of them are Omnissa yet, with an exception of Ireland. So don’t think they can fire anyone else outside US and Ireland. But Broadcom could though.
