Thread regarding Aetna layoffs

Hoping for layoffs

Working at Aetna is not the same as it was a few years ago. Everything has gone downhill to the point that a lot of us want to leave. I'm still hesitating only because I'm lowkey hoping there'll be a layoff round soon and I'll get to walk away with a nice severance package. That's it. That's the only reason why I'm still here.

Maybe you all should be more responsible with your finances and life decisions.. Aetna for all its problems didn't put you in jeopardy of losing your house, etc. YOU DID.

I certainly hope not because the severance is not ideal. 1 week per year of service. No guarantee you find something in 4-5 months. I have put in almost 20 years so 4 months of severance is not going to work..

Especially when you live in a remote area and have worked at home for more than 15 of those years - no jobs pay what I’m getting now. I can barely provide for my house on what I make now which is why I have 3-4 jobs . We will no way make it if I lose my job, I’m praying for the best. My dept continues to hire .

If it weren't for medical I'd already be gone. Aetna was a company people were proud to work for. It's awful now. Morale is down. Layoffs every year. 2% increases living paycheck to paycheck while we watch these elites make millions. I'm sick of it.
