Thread regarding Lumen Technologies layoffs

Google making big moves . .

😉 - " Google is in talks to make the biggest acquisition in its history, according to reports.

The US technology giant is expected to pay $23 billion (£18bn) for cyber security firm Wiz, The Wall Street Journal reported, just four years after the startup was founded.

The potential deal is nearly double the amount of Google’s biggest acquisition to date: the $12.5 billion takeover of Motorola Mobility in 2012."

" Wiz provides some of the world’s biggest companies with cloud security services, including BMW, EA and Salesforce."

GGL is buying a growing, security related company integral to it's business for a fat multiple. Makes sense.

Tmo, Microsoft, BRK, or any FANG company won't be buying declining, debt ridden, dysfunctional, and loss making lumen. This must be the same person who thinks Blank Lotus makes Lumen a security player. smh.

Somehow this implies Lumen is next?

It means Lumen will just have to pay more once Google gets it. Lumen corp security was using Wiz for cloud based customers, and then charging more for it vs customer just paying for Wiz directly. The only way for Lumen to make money is to overcharge it's customers.
