A note of the front door of store 589 says the store is closed permanently as of July 15th. Associates found out when they came to work.

Did they tell the staff anything? Facebook is not the business news. In our area someone posted that our store was closing and it was a nightmare having every customer ask. It also was not the truth , just someones opinion.
The store closing was not sudden, they had flags posted outside the store stating the store would be closing.
Closing was posted on FaceBook June 13 th. That doesn't mean everyone reads FB for their news. Not being a part of that store, I couldn't say if there was any other prior notice.
I am confused. If you search Facebook Ahoskie Belk, it was posted in June they were closing in July. So therefore, I am sure the Associates knew ahead of time.
the manager who worked yesterday the (14th) knew the whole day that on the 15th the store was closing and they didn't tell the associates not to come in. what a slimy company.
