Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Hasta la vista (July 15 2024)

Apparently tomorrow is the day of execution. It was a good run, but there just isn’t enough profit this quarter.

Sure, it may adversely affect you, ruin your marriage, force your family into homelessness, and drive some toward self-deletion. But the stock could slip by up to $0.10 per share! Can you imagine the horror?

My last day was 7/30. Good luck (NOT) to Allstate India learning the legal department and claim litigations. I feel sorry for the customer's throwing their money at this company and hoping that they'll get a payout. Ha!

To the prior post, what level leaders were in Chicago this week? Officers, directors, or senior managers? Any specific area or department?

Don’t get too comfortable. After the leadership meetings in Chicago this week the grunts will know soon enough their fate. They don’t round up leaders just to party these days for a bonding session. More cr-p a comin

False information? This is the first time it has ever happened on this site. Everyone back to work please- except for the claims losers who constantly brag about doing nothing all day waiting for their severance.

It's been quiet all morning. Guess all that talk about today being the end of our jobs from that poster is false.

I’ve worked several places that play the “fire fast and reload” game every time there’s a bad quarter. Makes the best and most employable look for new opportunities while the B Team muddles on. It’s fascinating that companies don’t see the result.

You know the CCO isn’t affected. If anything, gets a raise for laying off 20% of his team.

I’ve heard the same - though no indication of numbers or departments impacted. Sorry for all those axed, especially if the severance really is capped at 6 weeks.
