Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Yup - saw this awhile back. Not even remotely surprised. Medicaid in and of itself is a broken program. It makes getting proper care virtually impossible for those that need it and it pays sh-t to the provider making providers not want to take medicaid. Its sad all the way around. And yes they cut people from medicaid without notice. My son has ASD Dx at 5yrs old - 17 years old now. They cut his disability & medi-cal in 2022 without telling me. Like he suddenly was not autistic anymore?? I didn't find out until I went to take him to his neurologist and they were like "you don't have coverage" ------- WTF?????????????? I am a single parent and no I cannot afford the insurance through Centene. My rent alone is 3/4 of my monthly pay and I live well within my "means" with zero extras. It's disgusting how after 8 years with the same company that they choose to not pay enough for their own employees to be able to cover health insurance or live in general. Make it make sense
