The IT department at ETIPs is a marvel of modern mismanagement. It's helmed by a leader who couldn't tell a server from a waiter, yet struts around like he's the Einstein of Ethernet. Beneath him is a parade of sycophants, tirelessly blowing smoke up his wazoo, inflating his ego to the size of a data center. Each day, they convince him that his random keyboard smashing is the next breakthrough in coding. Meanwhile, the actual tech problems? Ignored and festering like a neglected hard drive. But hey, at least the leader sleeps well, dreaming of his delusional grandeur while the department burns.

I was told that the 18th is the day. We were luckily okay but he said it's gonna hit Optum IT and potentially ETIPS pretty hard, possibly Optum Insight too.

@ipa+1ts6MK5e- Citing Sources is what causes people to be able to identify who the writer is. That is asinine as no one wants to be found on this site and lose their job. Listen or don't listen but no need for nastiness. Think before you speak. All I can tell you is that it's from a reliable source. Your anonymity certainly makes you incredibly rude. The protection of a computer screen is nice isn't it Oh Hateful One?

July 28 is a payday… normally layoffs do not occur on those weeks.

To the person saying it’s the 18th, that’s the first week of the pay period. Usually they give 2 weeks notice so which would be 8/2 as the last day but that’s in the middle of a pay period. I wish people would cite their source or at least elude to the level of the source so we know it’s accurate. And also share what area of business that will be impacted (without issuing acronyms because that’s so confusing)

I wonder when they'll start letting the employees know wether or not we are getting the boot? Surely it will not be on the July 18th call with hundreds on the call.
