PIP season

PIP season is upon us. This is just a friendly reminder that no matter how good you are at your job and how valuable you believe you are, you can still be affected. It's happened before. I've seen excellent employees receive performance reviews that made no sense and then were put on PIP. Nobody is safe.

The funny part about it is, it takes energy and time to do all the paperwork to pip someone. Lazy boss most likely will passive aggressive you to oblivion.

Supervisors like to nsi their employees to make them scapegoats on why they couldn’t achieve something.

But this can only be used selectively… depends on how sharpe the supervisor’s supervisor is… and if he cares…

It seems that the ranking sessions should have a plot twist: Supervisors that eagerly throw productive employees under the NSI bus should be NSI’d for lack of leadership and lack of support.

If your direct report is NSI then that is all your fault - bye bye.
