Thread regarding Lumen Technologies layoffs

Leadership is entangled in their web

Numbers don’t lie. No smart ideas in sight. No capacity to reorganize into a solid, growing business. Not enough business sense to discern what should be let go, which areas invested in, which people kept on board. But who’s gonna pay for all those failures? Us, ofc. “Layoffs will fix all the problems”, said nobody competent.

There was a chapter missing from that DTL craaaaapola. It was the chapter on how one must deceive the audience in order to climb to the top of the ladder.

The Level3 ppl that are still there are Director, Sr Director, VP and SVP levels. They might not be at the EVP or higher level but the systems and methods that are destroying Lumen are still firmly in place. The same fake stats etc.

I'm not sure who the genius is that seems to think that Level3 executives are still running Lumen, hate to break it to you but 98% of the Level3 executives are gone.

That's not true. I just looked at the org chart, most of the "SLT" is still Level3 dummies.

Lumen Films to the rescue

It's not that we want the company to fail! The company already has failed! At some point execs will come to that conclusion. Hopefully not too late! There is still value it's just the current execs and board aren't going to be the ones that unlock it! Selling the company would breath new air into Lumen's wings so it can fly!

Look at Amazon Web Services... they may stop offering a service, but, they never kick existing customers off a service. And AWS is the most profitable part of Amazon. Lumen by contrast, changes their mind and ends a service, not seeming to care about the business disruption it causes a customer; then wonders why customers aren't re-upping on their contracts.

What can they do? Too many other players offering the same services that have a respected legacy and brand.

Taking off? As in those wearing shorts?
If you got in say 200,000 shares at 98 cents, then today you made enough money to buy a $30k car with cash.

Why? when Lumen keeps doing the same cr-ap and continues the downward spiral over and over again? Same sh-t - different day…….

“ Here's an idea, come up with a new topic, posting the same cr-p and discussing the same thing over and over is getting pretty old...yawn”

Notice how the yes man is always poking in stupid comments! What positive things does Lumen offer to its employees or investors? Nothing! Your stock is at a dollar and investors are fed up! He must be on the DEI board! Loser! The thing about the yes man? His life is great as his nose is so far up someone’s ash that he really can’t get anything better and he is “riding” it out! The Yes man!

Most of our leaders in SLT if you know people on the inside where they are from and Glassdoor reviews were not very well regarded.

Lumen is just d-mb enough to give them the golden parachute for eventual failure

It's hard to understand the thinking of the Board and SLT. It's clear that customers are leaving in droves and never coming back. It's also clear that the assets (fiber) are worth way more than the stock price plus debt. Breaking it up and selling the parts will happen eventually. don't understand the reluctance to do what is inevitable

There is no leadership at this dump of a company. All of the talent is gone and now they are working off spreadsheets to save money. Typical Corporate greed in action. Lemon! All of the Directors and VPs should be walked to the door. DEI overload!

So basically the Level3, arrogant yet incompetent directors and VPs can't create value , they can only destroy it. And that is who is running the company in terms of day to day decisions and priorities. The SLT must know this on some level and are cashing out while they can.
