I go to office everyday because I can’t afford Palo Alto so I have to live in Marin. Then worker asked “can I come to the Menlo Park office to which he replied “there is no room”.
Some of you are put off by Mark B’s wokeness but I assured you all. OT leadership is a joke regardless of political persuasion. Please don’t work extra hours for these clowns even if you survive this round.

No point in doing overtime. You don't get paid or get acknowledged. Kudo points if any from manager are useless as your manager will get layoff. If you can get time in lieu, it's useless as there's no one else to do your job. Also, customers still need to hear from you the next day even if you worked late the night before.
This is true, at least in depts I worked within, OT generally does not expect overtime on a regular basis. Most of the time you do your 40 and then click out. Anyway there is lots of studies showing how damaging overworking yourself is and it's not productive anyway.
Mark B is far from being ‘woke’ lol. The guy is a CEO. No matter what he’s yapping about, just remember there’s layoffs constantly.
This place expects, no, practically demands people put in 12+ hours per day. Also, Marin is still expensive AF.
I remember he said unlike Facebook, Microsoft, we do not lay off people...lol
thank you for sharing, one of my co-workers kindly reminded me I do not need to work extra hours one day when I did spent additional hours to fix an issue, now I am more careful with this and be more mindful about wlb
