Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Pay is decent

But god, is this unbearably toxic and downright disorganized place.

It's crystal-clear that MW made a big, big mistake in 2020 pushing all those Boomers out to the street and replacing them with young whippersnapper high-pots.

As someone who has seen the outside, the grass is always greener saying is true in this case. Chevron may not be perfect, but they are still one of the better ones, even with all their faults.

It's absolutely true that many high achievers at Chevron are very frustrated and tired of the current situation. Constant change and nothing ever gets better. The employees always take the brunt of the all the issues while management gets big hikes in pay. It's too much to take. Our current leadership needs to go.

Management does not seek real feedback, if they did all PSG 27+ would be on the CES for evaluation. Yes men and women are appreciated and encouraged.

Why not stop worrying and spend an hour looking for a better place to work. Let everyone know which company you like and why.

Says one of the quiet, compliant paycheck cashers that have ruined the company.

You are so clueless. Its precisely the high value employees that are the most frustrated and disillusioned with Chevron. They are the last ones that the company should want to leave. Its the quiet, compliant paycheck cashers that have ruined the company.

You are welcome to leave to make room for employees who will actually contribute to those projects to make them successes and not failures instead of sitting around complaining about it all day as if everything is someone else's fault.

So thats what Chevron wants? A bunch of highly paid jobbers that keep their mouth shut. Hard to understand why our projects fail so spectacularly.

Good, take the pay, keep working and keep your mouth shut. You can't expect to get paid by running your mouth.

Sadly, the pay is the only reason anyone stays with Chevron.
