I have had several coworkers that were able to transfer to different nursing roles since May. Is there currently a transfer freeze? If not, would you suggest transferring or holding out in current dept awaiting a RIF?

I left in January and just finished my last NP class where most of my NP was paid for by Elevance. Best thing I ever did was leave.
If your in an area where work is being moved to Carelon ( Like UM) I would start looking at different positions.
Not sure if official freeze but they are putting us in areas we weren’t trained in. Evaluating staffing needs daily and plugging us in areas/states that we haven’t worked or trained in. If transfer was option seems they would just do that. Some are are permaloan to other areas too
