Clearly executives are just following whatever the consultants tell them to do as all companies right now are cost cutting and offshoring jobs. Why are they paid so much or even needed if the consultants are telling them what to do?

One day, not too far away, EM will be a Harvard Business Review case study on how to run a company into the ground through incompetent leadership.
Executives are paid so much because they give each other bonuses. If my team could vote each other big bonuses then we would too.
Your are. Consultant. I think that your consultant service are for free.Lol
It’s the opposite. Executives bring consultants in to help them identify places and people to cost cut. The consultants then offer their services to replace the people that were fired at a much higher cost to the company and the cycle repeats until only executives and Indians at BTC are left.
Because they do not want to think or do anything. It is call the swine lazyness.
