Regardless of the circumstances, context, company, state of the job market, your financial situation or employability. It’s a personal hit. Guys, keep your heads up, allow yourself some personal care, give yourself time if you can afford it, then go out and who knows, being let go from here may turn out to be a blessing in disguise. In any case, you are a million times better than this company made you think.

After a couple layoffs during the "great recession" I decided to get a job in state government. They don't do layoffs. But I found out they bully you into quitting. I joined a team of 10 and there were only 2 left of the original 10 about a year later when I finally left. If you didn't get a project done, you had a meeting with the boss, and the bosses boss to yell at you for an hour.
The point is, doesn't matter where you work, you're going to get "laid off" one way or another.
Totally agree, being laid off for someone working in this industry is not yes or no but when, so embrace it, you deserve better, treat yourself and your family better
