WARN ACT violation

If they are really laying off 7-10k, then this would be a violation of the WARN act. They are required to give people notice of the layoff. Which I know most had no warning at all that this was coming.

Well if you violate the WARN act as OT did, then you would be liable for everyday up to 60 that notice was not given. And the multi-site part doesn’t fly here.

7-10k will be 30%-40% of 24k employee, hard to believe

As another person said they did not give people 60 days severance. I know of a person that got only three weeks severance and no notice

This is not their first rodeo. WARN act has a headcount per jobsite stipulation. If they give 2 months severance then they can surely get away with it since they are only required to give 60 days notice. Canadian locales might be more generous with tenure.
