Looks like 2024 layoff is finished for now. Actual announcement out, Opentext Version negative 3.0. May the next 2025 layoff be a small one.
when you said "got let go after 15 years of working there", it should be very easy to be identified(if they want to)...do not say "I feel bad for the people left in my organization because nobody else knows how to do my job. I'm sure a lot of people are going to leave on their own after this week. ", it is not worth it, everyone is dispensable in corporate America
just move on
My manager read script , as they are required, but than he called me separately to have a human to human conversation. He's a good guy
I was one that got let go after 15 years of working there. Yes, my manager read off of a script and I told him to STFU and just get it over with. I can't discuss the terms of my separation or my severance, but it was fair. I feel bad for the people left in my organization because nobody else knows how to do my job. I'm sure a lot of people are going to leave on their own after this week. How can you let go of 1/2 of your workforce and expect people to stay? We were already overworked and underpaid.
Wow, I know a few senior employees(20+ years) were let go a few months ago, yes, they seem to target those with higher compensations
The layoffs are not done. As stated biggest layoff in OT history. So bad as you hear people commenting the managers read scripts
Define managers- most directors are in the dark - this has been planned at SLT level with little thought re: performance or roles. Weighting seems to be on virtual employees.
Scared 😨
Many are still on PTO
Wonder how many more will be let go tomorrow and Friday
Product manager was laid-off not sure if in the US or the UK.
