Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Do you feel the pressure to quit?

I’m paid well, guess my severance would be too expensive. My superiors have been giving me near impossible to complete tasks lately, or tasks that are well below my competencies and usual complexity. Feels like I’m being torn left and right, and it’s all weird in general. Anyone having a similar experience?

While “ But remember you get the same 0% pay rise as anyone else regardless of what you do or don't do. ” us TRUE statement.

If you don’t like the way DXC is treating you, why do you stay that’s the real question ?

I worked for CSC DXC for 12+ years and got 2 pay increases one under 1% and one under 5%. lowest in my life, after 49+ years in IT

On January 28 , 2023 I said enough and quit. Now 3 Cat of living increases later I am so much happier

The company fails to understand that you have to have rewards and consequences to get things done. It's very hard to just dismiss people in big organisations unless they commit gross misconduct. When everyone gets the same 0% pay rise regardless, it's little wonder that all focus on delivering and making a profit is lost.

Yes, I do feel that. My boss is like uncontrolled ballistic missile, jumping from one initiative to another and leaving the previous one uncompleted or even totally forgetting about what we talked about last time. He is asking for whatever reports, slides, bullet points, I send that to him the same or the next day - then the email is never replied to and it all just sips into the oblivion. I know they would be really happy if I leave myself but I won't go until they decide to lay me off. So many years without salary increase have to be compensated by the severance, which is considerable at the place where I live. In the meanwhile I work from home, do my daily tasks honestly and lead whatever initiative I am in charge, but I am not doing anything more than that. No more pushing, pulling and wasting my energy as anyway nobody cares about that.

Yes. All focus on progress has been lost, the org is all over the place, piling on endless wish lists, meetings about meetings and then seemingly blocking everything. Is it all a game so they can say - but you've not actually done anything. But remember you get the same 0% pay rise as anyone else regardless of what you do or don't do. All budget is being spent on getting in new staff to replace the ones who've left.
