Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Departments that will cease to exist in US

Only bare bones will be left here - 99% will be offahored within next 6-9months. Here are a few -

  1. BPO/Call centers - philllipines 1000 ppl hired
  2. ITO - mostly on cloud - GEIndia to support
  3. HR and Finance/accounting
  4. Product/Engg developers/BAs/Architects/ScrumMasters are already hired at offshored

Any guesses who else??

Dear "New hire"

if you came to this company expecting to do cutting edge work, someone lied to you.

in many areas, we are at least 20 years behind what other companies are doing. People whom have not spent their entire lives in this company can tell you just how far behind we are. Technology, processes, company culture...its like we are 2 decades behind.

you are 100% right when you say that the culture does not seem conducive to change. the ones that disagree with that statement, are precisely the ones that will be impacted by change, because it will render them obsolete. Someone called that in another thread "experience", I called that for what it is: "complacency and incompetence".

New hire, if you want to do good work on newer technologies, find yourself another job at a different company, you won't find it here. Not to mention stability.

At the risk of doxing myself here…I’m new to the OPEX team. When will the team be eliminated? I’m concerned for my job and family. From talking with the team members it seems like the Gainwell culture is not conducive to change and trying new things. It sounds as if this team has enacted very little change at all. I know the Provider Enrollment revamp has failed miserably. I have very little knowledge of all of this stuff and no history with the company. But do want to get ahead of the game if the team and my job are about to be cut.

The repeat offenders for avoidable SLA offenses - how are they allowed to continue?

I can truthfully say, I've witnessed at least 3 issues last week that resulted in SLA breaches that could have been avoided. All three self-inflicted. And I want to say the folks involved are repeat offenders.

At least with the government, they will promote someone into a broom closet to reduce liabilities. At Gainwell, it's just another day at the office.

Hopefully you are joking.

The amount of accounts on corrective action plans is astounding. Probably greater than 75%.

There are no accounts on corrective action plans.

Marky Mark said we had a strong fiscal year. One of growth, innovation, and success.

Hahahaha. Talk about lies. Why then would they lay off so many and not give raises? Why is nearly every account in the toilet and missing SLAs and on corrective action plans? Why is Gainwell losing more business than it is taking in? Why is Gainwell in financial trouble?

Why Marky Mark?

Operational Excellence team is also slated to be eliminated. No replacement is slated for this team.

What about accounts that don't allow offshoring and have a "US Workforce" policy? I guess they are okay until renewal and they sneak a way in there to offshore?

“99%” seems doubtful

My guess -
Loads of M&O for accounts that allow offshoring.

Also, recruiting/Work force Mgmt teams
