Thread regarding CBRE layoffs

A pathetic way to handle any employee

Layoff was a scheduled zoom meeting in the morning with my manager. Knew I was dead in the water when it was my manager and another person I had never seen before (turns out she was HR). I had a good relationship with the manager. All this woman could say is your job has been eliminated. Would not answer any follow-up questions like what was the criteria for choosing me, etc. It was really a pathetic way to handle any employee.

Well said, @2kgih+1qkPcWor.

I hope you got severance at least. I was laid off in July after 19 years but I at least received the max severance at 15 weeks, which is still a slap in the face. This company has no loyalty to their people and it shows. But CBRE stock is up!

Same thing for me. I was let go this past Friday. My boss was in the video call, said we’re letting you go and dropped off the call.
The HR individual had no idea, said I would get a DocuSign doc in a few days, and good bye.

12 years and I had been in 4 GWS accounts and worked with the LMA as well.
