Do you think there may be small/medium/large CBRE Group layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

Was employed by CBRE back in 2023 as a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to enhance the workforce skill set with regards to Elec/Mech skill set.
Outlined from day 1 that I had completed 2391 way back in 1999 but had never used it due to different Job roles, changing jobs etc (skill fade after 20yrs not using 2391). That was not a problem when accepting the position as retraining would be an option.
Spent next 3 months carrying out a "power consumption project" and after completing project 2 days before my 3 months probationary period was completed I was laid off with the Manager stating " You are not what we are looking for". Wish I had kept the sheet of A4 which stated which areas I was conducting the tests in and had the costs in overtime that it was going to cost their Electrician to carry out the works I had completed.
Used and Abused! CBRE? Huh!
More stock buybacks! All you people that got laid off, this is where your salary goes to:

Pay attention to this Gen Z and Gen Alpha ... You're falling into a trap if you decide to go here and you will get cut without warning.
Was laid off in June with no notice after working more than 10 years ..outside job market is not that great..bad timing
If you are a CBRE employee who has been laid off, please contact me at 970-497-6667. I am a local journalist working on a story.
Layed off today with zero notice. I'm in marketing within Advisory/brokerage side. I too was sent a surprise Zoom meeting request from my manager first thing in the morning. When I noticed a strange HR person was also invited I knew I was being let go. They are graciously letting me stick around to use the computer for job hunting for a couple weeks. 20 years with this company and this is my reward. CRE is in deep do----o.
LAID OFF TODAY. COMPLETELY DEVASTATED. I WAS WORKING ON AMAZON ACCOUNTS AND PLACEMENTS. THIS CAME OUT OF THE BLUE. UPDATE YOUR RESUMES NOW. THERE IS AN INTERNAL MEMO OF A MAJOR RESTRUCTURING OCCURING BY FALL 2024. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Laid off today. HR rep gave my manager a script to read explaining the lay off in vague terms and stating I was terminated immediately as she sat there awkwardly nodding
Hearing about one more wave coming next month, y’all start applying and be safe.
Laid off this morning too
Layoff was a scheduled zoom meeting in the morning with my manager. Knew I was dead in the water when it was my manager and another person I had never seen before (turns out she was HR). I had a good relationship with the manager. All this woman could say is your job has been eliminated. Would not answer any follow-up questions like what was the criteria for choosing me, etc. It was really a pathetic way to handle any employee.
Yea. was laid off in July 2023, they gave me two weeks, only because they needed me to finish what I was working on. Ungrateful F**KS didn't even provide a severance for employees that have been there for 5 and 7 years. Sc--w you Kristin Repp and Bob Sulantic.
For those laid off how did it happen? Did they call out of the blue or was a meeting set up? I have so much anxiety about this!
I heard that every product team in GWS laid off atleast 1 person from every team.
Confirmed. I was just laid off today. I was told Friday would be my last day. Literally only 4 days notice.
There are definitely more coming by end of Q2 (according to an email I saw). Just not sure which areas will be impacted.
Confirmed. Bodies have been flying out the door at the executive level and non-executives are next.
Its coming - big restructure of the CBRE GWS business and particularly at functional level - we're all sat waiting for the news and updating resumes - not a good place and no comms from leaders or management - really really poor and avoid unless your on a client site - zero job security

Sorry, autocorrect. I MEANT I was laid off Friday, I was a talent sourcer for CBRE.
I got laid off Friday, was a talent sourced for CBRE. I heard more layoffs for this group is on the way. Pipelines are drying up.
layoffs started a few weeks ago, more to come.
More to come in 2024 for sure. Leave if you have better options
There should be a type of severance package offered?
That company sold your salary out to shareholders and investors, this headline was 2 months ago. Its not even a joke that your just a number their, they'd axe you all if they had to.

Yep. Laid off two days ago. Others as well
I’ve only heard timing is uncertain but to expect more changes. That can be taken a few different ways.
