I may not wait for any RIF, “volunteer” package or anything. Time to pack and go for a better job in a better company.

Being an investor or employee in this company feels like being waterboarded everyday
The (loan) sharks are circling.
Yes. You are merely in the euphoric stage of hypothermia. It ends badly.
No

@5qxs+1tfsTNRB The Troll is likely very happy you brought it up lol you know what trolling mean goal is right? Is to get a reaction out of people. You just brining it up is probably giving the troll it’s validation lmao
Or, maybe, you are the troll and attempted to get someone to comment like my d-mb@$$
On snap bro, now you made the troll angry, he's on a mission to equalize votes on every post. Go troll go! I know you can do it!
@2glw+1tfsTNRB the troll has a script that hits the upvotes/downvotes as needed to contour the totals as desired. I've observed them make a nonsense post (runner tripping, guru's di-k tastes great, etc) then immediately hit it with 5 upvotes within a second. Just ignore the votes as they are easily gamed.
Meh, a couple gov/mil terminals. Add to the list of much-ado-about-nothing-burgers the recent Azerbaijan connectivity press release. Great, so our win is providing connectivity to Borat while StarLink swept up 2 million subs across res, sea, and air before our CEO/CTO/brainiacs woke up. Viasat will have to learn to live with a lot less revenue and diminished market influence.
Viasat to supply satellite terminals for Spain’s maritime surveillance aircraft?
https://spacenews.com/viasat-to-supply-satellite-terminals-for-spains-maritime-surveillance-aircraft/
To the person who said this "You people are sad and pathetic. If ViaSat is doing so bad, then why did the US Space Force awarded laser communication terminal prototype contracts to Viasat? How about Telespazio joining Viasat’s ELEVATE Program? Or how Korean Air selected Viasat to provide in-flight connectivity on 40 additional aircrafts? Maybe how Icelandair selected Viasat’s in-flight Wi-Fi solution for its new fleet of Airbus Aircraft? Or Royal Jordanian Airlines equipped more than 40 aircrafts with Viasat’s connectivity system? Sounds money to me. You all are just but hurt because you got let go for not bring value to this amazing company."
You're godda-n right we are bitter. You're godda-n right we are sad. It is hard not to be "butt hurt" when you give years to a company just to watch it die because the leaders cant get their heads out of their as--s and keep up with the times. Speaking of In-Flight Connectivity, I wouldnt be so quick to brag about how great it is... I have it on good authority that many airlines (including Royal Jordianian), are pi---d because of "impaired connectivity" on their planes. Viasat is not delivering what was promised and customers are pi---d, dropping like flies, and are likely refusing to pay their bills because of it. Sounds like the OPPOSITE of money to me.
Is the marketing intern in denial or just delusional? Viasat was never on top, had a niche for several years but everything it ever did is now a commodity. Take it from a current employee, we were never really had any power and there is no getting back up now.
Don’t listen all the noise from former employees or rival companies that just want to bring the morale down. Viasat will be back on top once more! No matter what happens, keep getting back up. For every time you get back up, the fall makes you stronger and thrusts you to a new level. Whatever you might be facing. In the end, what matters is how quickly you get back up and take your power back.
The 5 stages of grief are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance. The company has been a sinking ship for a year, and most employees are at the depression or acceptance stage. Now Marketing has hired an intern who is obsessed with flawed running metaphors and still in the denial stage. The rest of us have lived through collective anger and bargaining so that poor kid has a long way to go. Viasat is no Apple. We have no Steve Jobs at Viasat. We lost the race. The layoffs will continue.
In the 1990s, things looked bleak and Apple almost went out of business. But like a runner that fell during a marathon, they got up, never gave up, caught up with and surpassed everyone. A decade from now, Viasat will be in the S&P 100 after having acquired SpaceX, and Guru will be Time Magazine's Person of the Year after firing Elon Musk.
Why is there an equal number of upvotes and downvotes on every single post here? It's like the psychopath that they laid off has bipolar disorder.
We are all frogs in a pot with the temperature rising, heading towards death and not realizing it.
Lmao can’t believe the lies spread by bitter FORMER employees and Elon nutriders. If this was true it would be on blind with actual employees instead of fanfiction posts like this every month.
Guru we trust! I know Viasat is heading in the right direction! Hopefully we finally can say goodbye to all the lazy “workers” that have been bringing to Viasat down!
The ship was sunk by StarrrrrrrrrrrrLink
The ship be sinking.
@zhy+1tfsTNRB Doesn't matter how many awards you have received if you cannot profit from them.
@zhy+1tfsTNRB Guru is that you?

We are "cooked" as the youth would say...
that's the way to go, signing up to be a volunteer would put a target on your back. can't be having RIF's every year.
Friend, the mere need to ask that question leads to the answer.
All downvotes shall count as upvotes. Trolls, go to work.
ViaSat is always getting new awards and increasing revenue. People on this site are just bitter and sad that they got let go, and it’s their own fault for being lazy and taking advantage of the company’s culture. I 100% have faith in the company going forward, and yes we just had a fall, but we are getting up, and will win this race :)!!!
The lazy wfh narrative is bullsh-t. Envious of people with jobs that can be done from home. Give it a rest.
Viasat has been underwhelming due to the wfh people wasting their time (while getting paid) e.g. watching movies, exercising, going on trips, etc.; until a deadline is approaching. They barely make the deadline, while producing the bare minimum that doesn’t even meet standards.
This had obviously done a lot of damage to the company and this change was needed.
