Thread regarding ViaSat Inc. layoffs

Post removed!

What happened to the post we saw earlier today regarding ‘the best things in life are free - like volunteers’.
It was talking about the hiring freeze and the voluntary redundancy project at Viasat.

What kind of lie is "no time for questions"? These meetings are always one hour long, but hers was only 30 minutes long! They could have had 30 minutes for questions. She was afraid of questions!

So 4 weeks is the offer? From other posts on here in the past, severance is a lot higher than that (1 week per year of service if I recall?)

The post mention a L2 or something friendly, perhaps that is the reason. Just having things like "levels" is such a huge culture change and there are now many, many levels which is likely the main reasons expenses are so high. How executive level, L1,L2,L3 remain untouchable after a 67% stock price decline, a failed re-organization and failure to control operational costs is just a mystery and a sign that the company has a ways to go to right the ship. I'm hopeful, but seems like time is running out to make obvious and needed changes.

A lot of comments over the past day have been removed. Curious if there is a team that is downvoting all the comments enough to get them removed or something.. Either way, never a good look especially after an announcement like this.

The site is actively administered. Mods scrub it on a regular basis for ToS violations (there are guidelines the footer.) Avoid mentioning individuals who aren't c-suits, as posting PII isn't allowed. When critiquing the management focus on their professional conduct rather than personal traits, as profanities and personal attacks aren't allowed either.
