Thread regarding SS&C Technologies layoffs

Town Hall Ugh

Is another layoff coming? The town hall being a bunch of talk about firing people to help the company doesn't make me feel good.

Layoffs in Kansas City today. Already cut to the bone. Do more with less? We have been, now how to do more with none? The end is in sight.

U can sense a lot of the 'old-timers' who have served more than 15 years in da waiting for the tap on the shoulder and seeing their face a few dasy later for not getting one be like a bulldog with wasp in its mouth :-)

Look forward for a cheeky tap on the shoulder, being a PM is not longer that interesting and the immense pressure we are under does not justify the measley amount we get pad, insteadI am off to a well-known large bank to get paid what I should - in two weeks time, so sayonara all!

The layoffs occur because SS&C is not profitable enough to meet shareholder demands, poor growth (lack of innovation and direction from poor leaders) and over reliance on legacy technology contracts/software contracts along with poor acquisition integration. Look at companies and their attrition rates over a five year period, it paints a compelling picture.

In the UK market contract lock-in period is keeping the business afloat until those clients realise there are better offerings elsewhere from newer and more dynamic companies who will innovate, grow, charge more favourable rates along with truly excellent service because people want to be there and the attrition rate is low-to-none see (Grove, Zilo, Fiserv - yes I said it).

Employees who are still languishing in the carcass of SS&C - spend your time wisely and focus on you and where you want to go - SS&C certainly wont.

Focus on you, not SS&C and your life will be better for it.

1-When does this company not have layoffs and/or offshoring of jobs? It would be unheard of if they weren't constantly cutting and restructuring.
2-Bill might have money and is only looking out for himself and not the company/workers, but he certainly doesn't have class by any means, he bought a private golf course/house in Maryland next to a garbage dump-which is more fitting than anything I would ever conceive. for context: 670 Polling House Rd, Harwood, MD 20776. This is one of his homes that he constantly rants from in the town halls telling everyone they need to work from the office, while he gets to work from home.

Yeah, another well delivered town hall from billionaire Bill! You'd think with all that money he'd get his god awful teeth sorted! Anyway, I digress, yeah great way to start off a town hall by talking about giving out pink slips. I tell ya what big cheese, if it helps you out I'll happily take the payout and pack up my things right away. I'm so done with this sh!thole of a company.
