Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Are we the next Boeing?

When the accountants take over bad things happen. Are we there already?

Over the last 10 years Boeing stock has performed better than XOM, but DW deserves more money

Are we not already? If not, we just need the whistleblowers to come out and spine up and expose. Hint: HR folks?

Not surprised to see Calhoun was at GE for 26 years. Presumably he's another Jack Welch acolyte, and the results of that management approach speak for themselves. Given that we're applying the Welch approach right now (20 years behind the market, as usual) seems reasonable to think we'll end up in a similar place.

We are going the way of Boeing by outsourcing critical jobs to India and pretend that they are qualified to do the work. It’s only a matter of time before we have our own 737 max problem. Sites already rework most of the deliverables from BTC when they get time but much of the poor quality work gets overlooked as people already are overworked including babysitting permanent rotating employees from India and Malaysia.

Calhoun And his executives have destroyed Boeing. And yet they have been paid how much to do such a poor job? The system is rotten to the core with executive compensation away too high and not tied in any way shape or form to actual results, especially not long term results.
