Allyship training? WTF!

Now that dare to bleed is a fact in the wind they roll out mandatory allyship training. WTF is going on here? Why don't they take some "how to make a business make money" training and let the working stiffs do their fu--ing jobs.

If you where to poll the employee’s, without using fear to effect the out come. I would guess 80% of them would say enough with DEI. Stop trying to make us like you and start saving customers and the company

Boooooyyyyyy am I feeling it... Been trying to get a mental health leave approved for a few months due to burnout. The DTL training has not helped with my issue, nor the cultural transformation training, nor the new Allyship training.
What this training has helped me with is...low morale, a jarring sensation to do the bare minimum and a quick trigger of non-empathy for every new paper pusher I am being forced to train from my customer facing position...on the customers time and dime! Welcome to the transformative, disruptive company simply known as Lumen.

I think hes talking about a recent call where some people in management had big and loud Pride 2024 backgrounds with pictures of people and parades it looked like. Which is fine on your own time but a background at work should be neutral no? And not make statements that not everyone would feel the same way about? Cant wait for the Biden and Trump backgrounds this fall!!

I'm not sure who you're referring to specifically. however, was on a mass markets call yesterday and someone presenting had political garbage in one of their chats which was up for a brief moment after they played a video.

There are (not so intelligent) upper managers on big town halls who have said things like the candidates that were given to me for a certain job req were not diverse enough so I went back to HR to have them find me more diverse candidates.

He didnt say the candidates werent "qualified" enough...he said they werent "diverse" enough. Thats stuff that can get him sued btw. And it should also tell you all you need to know about where this company is headed.
